ODDINGTON Strawberry Fayre is taking place from 1pm on Sunday, June 26 in the field behind the Village Hall.

Villagers will be serving up the sweetest and juiciest freshly picked strawberries on the ‘Everything Strawberry‘ stand.

Come and try them thickly dipped in chocolate, simply served with cream, or oozing out of strawberry cakes and scones - and just for the kids made into old fashioned strawberry lemonade.

Punnets of fresh strawberries and homemade jam will be available to buy.

Always a family fun packed afternoon this year will be no exception with two special events just for the children.

To mark the Queen’s 90th Birthday children can enter ‘The King and Queen’ fancy dress competition and the ‘Decorate a Cupcake for the Queen’s Birthday’ competition.

Ready-made cupcakes will be on parade waiting for all the kids to put their creative talents to the test.

There will be lots of prizes and rosettes for the winners. Both competitions are open to all children aged between 3-12 years old.

Also this year the North Cotswolds Wind Band will be taking requests for anyone who has a special occasion to celebrate.

There will be lots of traditional stalls to browse through including plants and books, cakes and bakes, raffle, tombola and arts and crafts.

If you fancy something savoury, hot pork and stuffing rolls will be served alongside the ever popular ‘Tipple Tent’ serving Pimms and cider.

Or put your feet up and have a cup of tea and a piece of cake.

There will also be a Grand Family Dog Show with eight classes to enter including Prettiest Bitch, Most Handsome Dog and Best Veteran.

Entries on the day from 1 pm, classes start at 2.30 pm. Dog classes entry fee - £1 for each class.
