THE Bacon Theatre team are raring to go as they announce a new summer line-up.

Running from May-August 2016, audiences can expect fantastic live music, event cinema and outdoor theatre to fill their social calendars.  

The National Theatre Live screenings continue, with two favourites returning for encore screenings, A View from the Bridge, an Olivier Award winner, and The Audience starring Helen Mirren at Queen Elizabeth II. 

There will also be a live broadcast from the RSC of Hamlet.

Other indoor events include superb live music from Voodoo Room, Cotswold Clapton and more great films that have been hand-picked for audiences to enjoy on the big screen including Love & Mercy, Brooklyn and The Danish Girl in particular with incredible performances from Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander.

July and August bring a collection of outdoor theatre events as the picturesque Tuckwell Amphitheatre opens its gates for the annual Open-air Theatre Festival.

Two weeks of live stage productions and films under the stars include: As You Like It, Murder on the Terrace, Robin Hood, The Importance of Being Earnest, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Gulliver’s Travels, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Dotty the Dragon, Romeo and Juliet, Around the World in 80 Days, plus films under the stars Man Up and Chicago.
