WILDLIFE writer and nature broadcaster Steve Backshall will be bringing his nationwide tour to the Cotswolds in November.

His show, Wild World, will focus on the best bits of his 18 year career, from dangerous encounters while filming wildlife programmes to tales from some of the Earth’s most unbelievable places.

“What I tend to do is pick the absolute highlights from my travel and wildlife adventures” said Steve.

“There will be stuff from behind the scenes and stuff people will not have seen before, including one or two bloopers!

“There will also be the opportunity to ask questions too which people enjoy.”

Steve has been incredibly lucky to visit all corners of the globe and return with stories of his jaw dropping experiences which are sure to feature in his talk.

The self-confessed daredevil claims to have the best job in the world and his show will prove that it is hard to argue otherwise.

“I have absolutely no complaints, for someone who loves nature and the outdoors what could be better than being paid to do it?” said Steve.

His tour coincides with the release of his latest book, Shark Seas, which is the fourth instalment of his Falcon Chronicles series of children’s books.

“In each one I take on one big conservation topic dear to my heart and get the hero or heroine to do something positive to set things right” explained Steve.

“If the audience just enjoys it that’s fantastic but I hope some people will feel they can get out and do something about it themselves.”

“There are a lot of young people at the tours and when they say they got into it because of your work it’s just the best feeling.”

  • Steve will be at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham on Monday, November 7 before coming to the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon on Wednesday, November 9. To book tickets and find out more information visit stevebackshall.com/tour.
