FOUR artists and crafts women will be opening a new show at New Brewery Arts' Pop-up studio on June 28 in an exhibition titled Textures of Nature.

The group comprises a textile designer, sculptress, illustrator and ceramicist all working as highly skilled professionals in their chosen mediums.

The show comprises work that will appeal to a wide range of tastes and budgets and brings together the universal love of the natural world, in particular rural England that these talented women share.

Priscilla Hann is a highly regarded sculptress specialising in accurate portraiture of domestic animals from polo ponies to pot bellied pigs.

Her pieces are cast into bronze and other cold cast metals, she has worked on many public and private sculpture commissions.

Jan Jay is an interior and textile designer. She will be showing a range of work at the exhibition from screen printed fabrics to paper cut wall art all inspired by British flora and fauna.

Jewels Williams Peplow makes functional, domestic porcelain pots thrown on the potters wheel. Her delicate vessels depict beautiful seascapes inspired by our British coastlines.

Shelly Perkins is a freelance illustrator specialising in wildlife. Her clients have included WWF, The RSPB, and The National Trust. Shelly will be showing her highly unusual collaged illustration work sold as limited edition prints.

The exhibitions provides a wonderful opportunity for visitors to meet the artists and talk to them about their ways of working, and to browse the works on show.

All work in the exhibition will be on sale.
