COTSWOLD tourism providers are lining up to be part of an exciting Welcome Open Weekend (WOW) from Friday, April 15 to Sunday, April 17 which will offer special ‘two for one’ vouchers for a wide range of attractions.

This event has proved to be very popular in West Oxfordshire, and has now been extended to residents in Cotswold District.

Councillor Chris Hancock, cabinet member for enterprise and partnership at Cotswold District Council (CDC) said: “Tourism providers will be working with the local tourism team to allow local people to access a fantastic range of things to see and do right here on their door step for only 50 percent of the usual cost.

“WOW also gives the local tourism sector an early opportunity to promote their latest attractions via a bespoke website and social media.”

Some 20 local attractions have already signed up for WOW, including Bibury Trout Farm, Birdland, Bourton Model Railway, Cotswold Motor Museum, Cerney Gardens, Corinium Museum and Kelmscott Manor and more are expected to follow.

Visit cotswold.gov.uk/wow or westoxon.gov.uk/wow for a full list of the offers and details of where to collect vouchers from.
