OXFORD Playhouse hosts the UK premiere of leading European choreographer Thomas Noone’s dance adaption of Euripides ancient tragedy, Medea, March 4-5 as part of Dancin’ Oxford’s tenth birthday celebrations.

Thomas Noone attended both Magdalen College School and University College before training at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and launching his own company Thomas Noone Dance in 2001, one of the most active and admired dance companies in Europe.

Euripides tragedy sees Medea betrayed by her husband, Jason, leader of the Argonauts after years of marital bliss.

After he abandons her for another woman, Medea seeks a terrible vengeance, leaving death and destruction in her wake.
