THE Sherston Arts Festival returns October 9-18, featuring exhibitions of art, photographs, live music and much more.
Highlights of the biennial event include the popular scarecrow trail.
Visitors can pick up a map at the British Schoolroom and follow the trail around the village to find the different scarecrows.
The prize giving for the best scarecrow will take place at 4pm on Sunday, October 11.
Throughout the festival there will be an exhibition of local artist’s works at Holy Cross Church. On Thursday, October 15 Oliver Preston will be delivering a talk on the history of cartooning and his experience as a cartoonist. Oliver’s cartoons have been published in The Times, The Guardian and The Beano. He is also the chair of the Cartoon Museum in London.
The festival will close with a concert by Opera Sulis, a group of professional singers who will perform a range of popular arias and songs.
