JOHN D Edwards is an inspirational artist with a story to tell and an international reputation. He is currently exhibiting at The Wetpaint Gallery in Cirencester.

His journey through cancer to recovery has influenced his work for the past 18 years and transformed his life.

Born in London in 1952, John has been privileged to work with a number of celebrated artists including Sir Peter Blake, Jim Dine, Barry Flanagan, John Hoyland, Richard Hamilton, Allen Jones and Ben Nicholson.

His paintings reflect his life and his experiences and he has written and illustrated a wonderful book called 'How Cancer Saved My Life' which includes a touching foreword by the painter's friend Sir Peter Blake.

It chronicles seven years of his life, starting before the diagnosis that changed everything.

He will then be at the gallery again on Friday, September 25 when Wetpaint Gallery is hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise money for this invaluable service, supported by Rave Coffee and Lavender Bakehouse.
