THE Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham is the setting for a Late Night Jazz session this Saturday, May 5, with top saxophonist Art Themen.
Themen started playing jazz with the Cambridge University Jazz Group and with blues musicians Jack Bruce and Alexis Korner.
His influences include Dexter Gordon and Sonny Rollins, but more recently Coleman Hawkins, Evan Parker and the 'sheets of sound' John Coltrane.
Late Night Jazz takes place in the County Bar 10.15pm until late. Tickets £6 each from the box office on 01242 572573.
Late Night Jazz is also running on Sunday evening, May 6, featuring Jim Mullen on guitar. Jim will be performing with the Alex Steel trio.
