THE world’s most famous Nanny comes to town when the multi award-winning musical Mary Poppins arrives at The Bristol Hippodrome; October 29 to November 28.
Adapted from the stories by P.L Travers and the Walt Disney film, the timeless classic is brought to the stage with dazzling choreography and incredible effects, starring West End actress Zizi Stallen as Mary and Australian actor Matt Lee as Bert.
Featuring the unforgettable score by the Sherman brothers as well as new songs by the Olivier award-wining duo George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.
Strallen’s previous theatre credits include roles in Cats, Dirty Dancing and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, while Lee won the prestigious Helpmann Award for Best Actor in a Musical, playing Bert during the production’s Australian tour.
Producer Cameron Mackintosh said: “It is hard to believe that it is already 11 years since Mary Poppins first landed on the London stage. My goodness...time flies even faster than our beloved Nanny! I’m delighted to be bring her back to the UK, after spreading her magic around the world.”
MARY Poppins is at The Bristol Hippodrome October 29 to November 28, 7.30pm. Matinees on Thursday and Saturdays at 2.30pm. Tickets from £22.50.
