WESTON-Super-Mare is playing host to world-class tribute acts this summer.

The big white Fake Festivals marquee will be stopping off at Clarence Park again on Saturday, June 27 and the stage will be lit up ready for the world-class tributes to Queen, Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon to rock out on as part of the UK’s only touring tribute festival.

And with news that the real Foo Fighters are now unable to perform at Wembley and Glastonbury, this could be your chance to watch the next best thing.

“When we held the first Fake Festival eight years ago in a small village in Yorkshire, I never imagined how popular tribute acts would become,” said Jez Lee, owner of Fake Festivals.

“People have really embraced the tribute act scene, and this has been proven by the increasing tour dates each year that we have to put on to accommodate demand.”

Flash (Queen), Four Fighters and Kings of Lyon are the best in their field.

Not only do they sound like their idols, but they also look like them and perform the same stage shows as the real thing.

“All of our tribute acts spend hours studying the real bands and performers, making sure that their moves, styling and sound is exactly like the real thing,” continued Jez. “It’s not as easy as a covers band picking up instruments and playing the same tune, they have to act out the routines, accents and costumes of the real bands, and style themselves appropriately, making sure they keep up with the latest trends. They all put in a lot of hard work to their performances, which is why they are the best in the business.”

One of the headlining acts will be the Four Fighters, tribute to Foo Fighters, and they travel across the UK and Europe delivering their frighteningly true likeness to the Foo Fighters’ stage show.

Iain Angus, frontman of Four Fighters said: “Fake Festivals is a great concept, and we always love being part of the tour. It’s a great chance for us to perform in the UK and to also catch up with friends from the other tribute bands too.

“The Fake Festivals tour has gone from strength to strength each year, and this year with the Big Fake Festival, it’s guaranteed to be a winner.”
