THE Gathering is an exciting new exhibition coming to the New Brewery Arts in Cirencester on Saturday, June 6 until Saturday, July 11.

At 2pm on Saturday, June 6 Tracey Clarke, Talent and Development manager at The Crafts Council, will open the exhibition with a short talk about Hothouse, the Crafts Council's professional development scheme and the driving force behind this exhibition. Visitors can also meet many of the exhibiting artists and find out about the new work they have created especially for The Gathering.

New Brewery Arts is presents the work of this closely knit group of makers bound together by the intensity and challenge of their experience of Hothouse, and all chosen for their high level of technical craftsmanship and originality.

For over a year, The Gathering has provided a focal point for artists from The Crafts Council's Midlands Cohort: Sarah Brown (glass, Cheltenham), Sue Brown (enamelled jewellery & objects, Cheltenham), Brittany Delany (ceramics, Stockport), Katharina Eisenkoeck (product design, London), Louisa Finch (glass, Rutland), Julia Jowett(mixed media, Staffordshire), Katharina Klug (ceramics, Cambridge), Hilary Mayo (ceramics, London), Theo Wright (textiles, Coventry).

With backgrounds in a wide range of art and craft practices, all have generated new and exciting work for the exhibition.
