WITH just one week to go before the Lechlade Festival, organisers have released extra tickets to cope with increased demand.

Mia Klose, John Adams, Dealer, Centrefolds, tribute act Bon Giovi, Felix and the Funk and The Kix are just some of the top bands that Lechlade festival-goers can look forward to over the bank holiday weekend.

The variety of bands this year is better than ever with something to please every music fan.

The festival prides itself on promoting local, new and emerging talent as well as bringing back some festival favourites such as Josephine and the Artizans, Whole Lotta Led, Nina Baker and the indomitable Frankenstein’s Lobster.

The three-day event, taking place on Friday, May 22-Sunday, May 24 celebrates its 5th year and promises to deliver big acts. It is no secret that the legendary Status Quo will be appearing as the headline act on Sunday which is an incredible coup for this home-grown festival.

Moreover, Dr and the Medics will be returning as Saturday’s headline act, following their show-stopping performance last year.

Jennie Rainsford, festival director said: “We are incredibly excited that the mighty Quo are coming to Lechlade this year as this will be one of their few live performances with the full on rock show in the UK in 2015.

“We’re also very happy to welcome back the Dr. This just goes to show how far we’ve come as a festival although we still remain true to our mission to be a showcase for great live music in a relaxed and family-friendly environment.”

Alongside the music will be a variety of food traders, offering locally-sourced sausages, vegetarian options, ice-cream, Indian and Mexican street food.

As in previous years, there will be plenty for the family to do, with a focus on keeping the children entertained.

A diverse range of free workshops for both adults and children will be offering activities such as story-telling, street dancing, hoola-hooping and African drumming. There will also be children’s crafts, games, toys and rides, many free of charge.

Children 16 and under still get in free to the event, with adult tickets at £57 for the whole weekend. Buy tickets online at www.lechladefestival.co.uk/tickets They are also being sold at Lechlade Post Office, Witney Tourist Information Centre and Burford Information Centre
