TALENTED local musician and Farmor’s pupil Henry Bateman is releasing his new album Take A Form next month.

Eighteen year old singer, songwriter and guitarist Henry from Fairford is in his final year at Farmor’s School and performs constantly in the area, with an upcoming appearance at Lechlade Festival.

The new album, which follows his 2013 debut EP Open Arms, features 11 tracks, as well as five bonus tracks which can be exclusively downloaded upon purchasing the album.

It has been recorded over the last year in Fairford, Whelford, Ampney St Peter and Highworth and has involved more than eight local musicians.

Henry said: “It has been an amazing process for me. I actively chose to involve an array of talent in the album making process, with friends playing on and co-producing the tracks. All of the songs are my own. It has been an amazing creative process for me.”

Henry explores the evolution of songs on his album, and presents tracks at different stages of the creative process. “The album begins with two songs, which were written very quickly and for this reason still feel quite fresh. I think they're good examples of songs at the start of their life,” he said. “Then there is the main chunk of studio tracks - some of these songs have really changed in production. Then, the final few tracks are live tracks - because it is in live performance that these songs will continue to exist and evolve.”
