AMELIA Lily is set to bring the X Factor to the Bill Kenwright production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sparkling family musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat as she steps into the role of Narrator alongside fellow X Factor finalist Lloyd Daniel’s Joseph at the Wyvern Theatre from Tuesday, May 19 to Saturday, May 23.

Amelia finished third on The X Factor 2011, the year Little Mix claimed the crown and went on to have chart success with her debut single You Bring Me Joy, which got to number two.

After a successful 2014 tour, Lloyd Daniels reprises his role as Joseph for 2015.

Lloyd became the X Factor’s youngest contestant in 2009 and got to the final five out of 250,000 contestants to perform in front of 10 million TV viewers.

The musical also sees the welcome return of Matt Lapinskas who will be donning his Elvis outfit once more to reprise the role of the Pharaoh.

Best known for playing Anthony Moon in BBC EastEnders, Matt was also runner up in the penultimate series of Dancing on Ice.

He joined the Joseph cast in 2014 for the UK, making his first musical theatre role.

This colourful retelling of the biblical story about Joseph, his 11 brothers and the coat of many colours sings out to young and old alike with a score which is crammed wall to wall with hits – including Jacob and Sons, Close Every Door and Any Dream Will Do.

Swindon audiences will be able to meet and greet some of Joseph’s Amazing Camels, outside the theatre between the matinee and evening performance on Tuesday May 19.

The Bishop of Swindon, Rt Revd Lee Rayfield, will read the original biblical story of Joseph on Thursday May 21 and on Saturday May 23 and audiences are invited to join Mystic Ruth as she interprets your dreams just as Joseph did.

All these events are FREE when purchasing a ticket for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
