THEATRE company Rhum and Clay will be bringing A Strange Wild Song to the Bacon Theatre in Cheltenham on Sunday, May 10, as part of an extensive South of England tour.
A Strange Wild Song takes the audience to Northern France during the Second World War, where three young children encounter a lost American soldier in the ruins of their village.
Decades later, the soldier’s camera is unearthed and his grandson tries to solve the mystery of the photographs inside. He discovers a world of childhood, imagination and hidden courage, as fragments of war explode into the present day.
Accompanied by an original, award-winning musical score, Rhum and Clay present a new version of their critically-acclaimed show, fusing cinematic imagery, absurdist humour and physical theatre to tell an epic story that is both thought-provoking and entertaining.
*Tickets cost £14 and £12. For more information and to book tickets visit www.bacontheatre.co.uk or call the Bacon Theatre on 01242 258002
