ON SATURDAY, January 17, at 7.30pm, A Night of Music and Stories comes to Great Rollright Village Hall, near Chipping Norton, with thrilling music and spellbinding yarns from three sparkling performers who all live in the Cotswolds.

Sure to banish your winter blues, this show is packed with gorgeous melody and dark laughter, and of course features the epic local Legend of the Rollright Stones.

Songs from Celtic inspired folk duo Tinkerscuss reveal otherworldly creatures and vengeful powers.

Tinkerscuss are sisters Bryony Holden (vocals) and Erin Holden (guitars). Bryony’s powerful vocals weave together with richly intricate guitar playing by her sister Erin.

Their heritage from Liverpool and Ireland shines in superb musicianship and haunting songs about the magic and mystery of Britain.

Their mesmerising sound has enchanted audiences all over the UK for more than 20 years, with albums such as Nine Trees and the Sandy Denny tribute, Across the Purple Sky winning them warm acclaim.

The Wold Tour of A Night Of Music & Stories is their first major collaboration with spoken word artist Chloë of the Midnight Storytellers, whose stories include the famous Standing Stones plus Trees With a Will of Their Own. Chloë is a 21st century keeper of tales. Her stories – told unscripted, in genuine verbal jazz – blend tradition, comedy and original storymaking. For 15 years Chloë’s fullblooded wordpower has captivated audiences from the Cheltenham Literature Festival to castles and cruise ships.

The three friends have all lived and worked in the Cotswolds for well over 20 years.

The show contains adult themes and is designed to entertain adults (not suitable for under 12s).

Tickets are £10 on the door.

Doors open 7pm. The show consists of two 50 minute sets plus a 20 minute interval.
