CINDERELLA, with its enchanting story, side-splitting comedy, lavish settings and adorable miniature ponies, is perfect entertainment for the festive season.
This truly traditional production at the Theatre Royal, Bath, will ensure that every member of the family has a ball.
Cinderella is treated as a servant by her wicked, not to mention ugly, stepsisters. She’ll need all the magic her fairy godmother can muster, along with help from her best friend, Buttons, if she is to meet her Prince Charming and find true love before the clock strikes midnight… BAFTA-nominated Dani Harmer plays Cinderella. She is known to millions of children as the legendary Tracy Beaker in the CBBC dramatisation of Jacqueline Wilson’s much-loved novels. She was also, of course, a finalist on the 2012 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Melanie Walters, who is best known for playing Stacey’s mum, Gwen, in the popular sitcom Gavin and Stacey, will be the Fairy Godmother – and Bath pantomime favourite, local comedian Jon Monie, will be playing Buttons.
The show is on from December 11 to January 11. For tickets, see theatreroyal.org.uk
