Chyp (Cirencester Housing for Young People) will be holding another musical evening at the Corinium Museum on Friday 21st November 2014 . Enjoy music by Major Pipework, a group of recorder players, followed by plenty of canapes, a glass of wine and a chance to wander around the museum. Doors open at 7.15pm.
Major Pipework formed in 2002. Its players are all members of the Cheltenham and Gloucester branch of the Society of Recorder Players. The ensemble aims to bring the pleasures of the recorder to a wider audience and to raise money for charitable causes. It performs music ranging from the 15th century to the present day. Since its formation the ensemble has given concerts locally and in France. Instruments played include Great Bass, Bass, Tenor, Alto and Descant recorders. The rarer Sopranino and Contra bass are also played occasionally.
All profits go to Chyp who work with local vulnerable young homeless people.
Tickets cost £15 each available from The Chyp Charity Shop at 20 The Waterloo, Cirencester, or ring 01285 651227 or email nataliem.chyp@btinternet.com.
