Gardens open for the National Gardens Scheme

Beverston Castle, near Tetbury, 2-5.30pm, plants and teas, planted terrace in moated garden surrounding romantic ruin and C18 house. Walled kitchen garden and greenhouses.

25 Bowling Green Road, Cirencester, 2-5pm, packed with day lilies, roses, clematis, grasses, hostas and unusual perennials. Pergolas, pots and pools.

Pasture Farm, Upper Oddington, Moreton-In-Marsh, 11am to 5pm, medium-sized informal country garden that has evolved over 30yrs by the current owners. All year interest with mixed borders, topiary, hedging both formal and informal and a wealth of garden trees. In rural setting with very large spring fed pond inhabited by a collection of ducks.

River Barn, Cowbridge Farm, Swindon Road, Malmesbury, 11am to 5.30pm, three acre garden in a river setting as part of former model farm. Planting commenced in 2007 to create an arboretum with wild flower areas and wildlife pond. Walled courtyard garden with Koi pond, rose pergola, mosaics and rich planting. Formal terraced lawn overlooking Avon.

Chastleton Glebe, Moreton-in-Marsh, 2-6pm, five-acres, old trees, terraces (one all red); small lake, island; Chinese-style bridge, pagoda; views; rose tunnel. Vegetable and flower parterres Littlefield Garden, Hawling, Cheltenham, 11am to 5pm, surrounded by the idyllic countryside with fine views over small valley, site of old medieval village of Hawling, Littlefield Garden was originally designed by Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall. More recently the planting in the yew walk was created by Sherborne Gardens. Rose garden, mixed borders, lily pond, wildflower meadow.
