SUDELEY Castle in Winchcombe near Cheltenham is gearing up for the Fantastic British Food Festival to be held on the Falcon Lawn from July 11 to 13.
Set against the backdrop of the Cotswold Hills, the festival will include delicious food and drink producers, many of them local, including artisan bakers, local micro-breweries and pulled pork barbecues.
A food & drink theatre will feature a range of cookery demonstrations, children’s cookery workshops and talks from a variety of food and drinks experts.
There will be roaming entertainers, a charity bake-off, and mini foraging courses for children and adults from wild food and foraging experts, Wild Food UK.
Stalls include The Garlic Farm, Chilli Queen and Truckle Cheese, along with Snowdonia Cheese, Cotswold Gold and Gloucester Brewery. Fair & Square Brownies, the Winchcombe Burger Company, Bramley and Gage and YUM YUM cupcakes are just some of the other stalls also offering their produce, among many others from across the UK.
More information and tickets are available on the festival website at fantasticbritishfoodfestivals.com and cost £5 for adults on Friday or £10 for Saturday or Sunday, children go half price, and under-five’s go free.
Pre-booked three-day tickets are only available online and cost £12.50 for adults and include priority parking and seating in the Food & Drink Theatre, again children are half price.
