THE Northleach Charter Fair and Music Festival will take place, for the second year running, on the King George V playing fields on Saturday, June 28, at the new time of 11am to 5pm, with the music festival kicking off from 5pm to 11pm.
Creating a buzz with their amazing falconry displays is Birds 4 All Occasions.
As well as falcons and hawks, children and adults can handle barn owls and discover much more about these stunning creatures.
There is a designated children’s area to include puppet shows by Puppets and Pandemonium, all day activities by Junkfish.
There will also be indoor and outdoor crafts, face painting, circus skills, fun fair and Go Karts.
Annual favourites will include the popular welly wanging competition; Northleach Fire Engine; barbecue, refreshments and food stalls.
The Charter Fair will close at 5pm and the music festival, while backing the event during the day with a range of acoustic music, will present a varied mix of local musicians and bands. Gully, local rock and pop covers band, will headline, closing the event at 11 pm.
The Charter Fair dates back to 1227 when King Henry III granted the town of Northleach, a Charter, allowing a weekly market and an annual fair. The date of the Charter Fair is always the last Saturday of June, that being the closest weekend to the feast day of St Peter and St Paul.
