THE Cricklade Art Group would like to welcome you to their Summer Exhibition in the Cricklade Town Hall on Saturday and Sunday, June 14/15 from 10am till 4pm. There is something for everyone, young and old with demonstrations on art techniques scheduled too. There are quiz sheets for children to help them look at the artwork more closely. The Sunday is also the Cricklade Festival so the group is hopeful of many visitors.

Visitors and new members are made very welcome at the Cricklade Art Group workshops which are held in the Cricklade Town Hall Annexe on the third Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm for two hours.

One of our newest members, Ray Holloway, has had a long and interesting career as a woodcarver and sculptor, having received many commissions.

In March, two female members had an exhibition at the New Brewery Arts Centre in Cirencester. Laura Jenkins (recently married and formerly Laura Wright), loves everything to do with dogs. She says “each breed brings something very different to the table when drawing/painting them and it is so important to capture their personality with the pencil or brush”.

Laura exhibited with Nadine Gould who runs her own working studio at Studley Grange Craft Village. Nadine paints/draws in nearly every type of medium you can imagine. She loves experimenting with art and this leads her to produce a huge variety of work from dreamy colourful hare paintings, to a more classical nautical marine painting.
