JULIE Walters has sent a letter of support to Cotswold Player Anne Martin, who will play Mrs Overall in Acorn Antiques – The Musical at the Cotswold Playhouse on June 12/14 and 18/ 21.

Walters, who originated the role, told Anne “Make her your own. I wish you all the best with her” after she wrote to the star for advice on how to do the Brummy accent.

Acorn Antiques started its life as a parody soap opera, with a weekly slot in the sketch show.
