LOCAL entertainer Chloë of the Midnight Storytellers takes her children’s storytelling persona Agent Green the Dragon Whisperer to Sudeley Castle’s Family Fun Day this Sunday and to the Crime and Punishment afternoon at The Old Prison at Northleach, next Wednesday.

Chloë returns to The Old Prison on Saturday, May 31, for more fundraising when she shares the stage with Bourton folk duo Tinkerscuss for A Night Of Music and Stories.

On Sunday, May 25, in the beautiful Queen’s Garden at Sudeley Castle near Winchcombe, Chloë tells Dragon Tales as Agent Green the Dragon Whisperer.

For fantasy fans ages 7 and up,she’ll tell stories of dragons and magic from around the world as part of an action packed day at Sudeley that includes circus skills, animal encounters, Bubbles and Juggles, Punch and Judy, Tudor Ladies and more. Dragon Tales are 30 minutes, starting 11am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 3pm. For ticket details go to sudeleycastle.co.uk On Wednesday, May 28, the Dragon Whisperer makes a flying visit to The Old Prison at Northleach to add Despicable Yarns to the Crime and Punishment afternoon noon-4pm.

Free storytelling shows at 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm feature Cotswold highwaymen and villains that Agent Green’s 1,000-year-old dragon companion has met throughout history. Event is free. Children can try being judge or jailbird and discover skills taught to prisoners on the Prison Trail, £1 per family. Local historian Michael Banks, author of The Old Prison: The story of the House of Correction at Northleach leads a tour 1.30pm-2.45pm, adult ticket £5, child 5 and up £2.50, including refreshments.

On Saturday, May 31 at 7.30pm at The Old Prison, Chloë and Bourton-based Anglo Celtic folk duo Tinkerscuss get together for A Night of Music and Stories, raising funds for the Old Prison Appeal. Folk songs full of passion and dark humour, plus exquisite covers of Sandy Denny. Chloë of the Midnight Storytellers matches the musical mood with local tales and spellbinding legends .
