THERE will be an exhibition at Farmcote from Monday, May 19 until May 26.
Set in a beautiful place on the Cotswold escarpment with stunning views, this exhibition of three artists working in painting, printmaking and sculpture reflects the place where they are showing their work.
They have titled their exhibition The Land and quoted T.S. Eliot Here the intersection of the timeless moment/ Is England and nowhere. Never and always to reflect their common theme.
Sarah Loveday’s paintings of landscape in oils are bold, colourful and strong.
Diana Green’s starting point is intense observation outside and returning to the studio using coloured printing inks, she paints or wipes images on to a textured etching plate, before running it through the press. She also works in oil paint on canvas.
Anne Boning likes to observe life and aims to transfer her thoughts into three-dimensional form. She prefers to work with random shapes which she chooses for their individual and natural qualities.
The exhibition is open from 11am until 5pm weekdays; 11am to 7 pm at weekends at Farmcote, near Cheltenham, GL54 5AU.
