A CHINESE photography enthusiast who has lived in the Cotswolds for the last three years is holding an exhibition of photographs from his travels around Great Britain and China.

Hui Zhao, from Perrotts Brook near Cirencester, studied for a business degree at the University Of Gloucestershire and now works for the travel industry in London during the week.

At weekends Mr Zhao, 27, originally from Nan Ning in the south of China, takes his camera on his travels and indulges his passion for landscape photography.

His travels have taken him from Loch Ness in Scotland to Land’s End in Cornwall and all compass points in between as well as his native China.

The exhibition, Views from West & East, presents a unique view of the British landscape with an outsider’s eye. The pictures of Chinese landscapes are unseen and unforgettable.

The exhibition is at the Gardens Gallery, in the distinctive Proscenium Building in Montpellier Gardens, Cheltenham, from March 5 to 11. Doors open from 10am to 5pm daily. Entry is free.
