CONNIE Lush and the Blues Shouters are at Vonnies on Wednesday, February 26.

The charity fund raising club continues on its mission to bring the best Blues Acts to Charlton Kings. Club manager Dave Jones said “I am delighted to bring Connie Lush and her band to Vonnies again she is an all-out performer who brings soul humour and gusto to every performance and never gives less than one hundred percent “he added “It is also a welcome return for the young Cheltenham band Stereo Sound who are a favourite of the club and have a very bright future”

Connie Lush is recognised as one of the finest Blues singers in Europe, winning five times the best female vocalist in the UK and twice voted “European Blues Vocalist of the Year”.

In recent years Connie has played in over thirty countries, wowing crowds as far and wide as Moscow, New York and Los Angeles. She has appeared at Europe’s most prestigious festivals including Glastonbury.

Dave said “When Connie toured in the UK with BB King appearing with him at the Albert Hall he said “That woman makes my heart sing”, that’s true for me too, come and see what the fuss is about”

The gig will again be raising funds for Headway the charity that helps those with acquired brain injury to a better life.
