CIRENCESTER'S Sundial Theatre will be hosting over 20 shows in the 2014 spring season, featuring famous names, local theatre groups, children’s theatre, music and the ever- popular performing arts students from Cirencester College showcasing their many talents.

Once again headlining the season are some of the country’s A-list comedians, including one of comedy’s fastest rising star Seann Walsh and the host of Channel 4’s “Stand Up for the Week,” Paul Chowdhry.

With the 100th anniversary of the First World War approaching, Thingamujig Theatre will be presenting “A November Day,” a timeless fable on war and the miracle of friendship, featuring their evocative puppet characters, live music and ever-changing sets. Gloucestershire Theatre Company, N N M Generation will re-visit the Second World War in “Faith,” a modern play based on true events.

Ex-student and Cotswold based singer songwriter George Montague will be part of an exciting programme of music, alongside acoustic band Blackheart, guitarist Craig Ogden, who is supported by the Corinium players and the Gypsy Fire quartet returning by popular demand.

Tall stories will bring to the stage a fantastic adventure for children “Emily Brown and The Thing.”

Talented ventriloquist and Cirencester College student Kieran Powell will be performing his award winning act supported by a colourful range of charming, humorous and flirtatious puppetry characters.

Student productions include” Antigone” by Sophocles, “The Tempest” and an end of year Variety Show.
