ON FRIDAY, December 13 it's the Brewery Blues Family Christmas Special.

The Curious Little Big Band are back by public clamour rather than mere demand. They are Cirencester’s killer party outfit with something for everyone - rock ‘n roll, pop, disco, or modern funk they have all bases covered. Audacious showmen to a man, they’ve blitzed many glamorous venue. Fronted by Miles Guerrini (he of West- End theatre pedigree and gargantuan vocal range) on guitar, Guy Guerrini (keyboard, sax, guitar and vocals), Russell Blackaller (keyboard, accordion and violin) and Andy Hughes (drums and vocals), expect a few twists and turns as they put their stamp on an eclectic mix of timeless gems. Infectious and entertaining - the challenge is: will you be able to keep off the dance floor?

Tonight is the final hurrah for one of Cirencester’s one-time favourite bands, The Blues Grinders. For the first time in seven years they get together to give their take on some Soul and Jazz standards. All of the original line-up are here for the last time - John Drummond (frontman), Jackie Cribley (vocals), Andy Green (guitar), Martin ‘Albert’ Lowe (keys), Tom Lloyd (bass), Len Morphew (sax) and Robert ‘T- Bone’ Taylor (on drums). Tonight will be their very last appearance.

Young Rosie Blackaller blew everyone away when she made her Brewery debut but now she’s a full time music student heading for a glittering musical career. Tonight we look forward to her set of unforgettable renditions of some well know standards and her very own material. The more observant of you may recognise a similarity between this gifted youngster and the keyboard player in The curious Little Big Band …well spotted, that’s her dad Russell.

Setting the festive scene all the way from Nailsworth the fabulous Prima Donnas will be harmonising a mixture of sacred and secular songs from both home and abroad in Latin, English, and Bulgarian. Choir mistress Yael Hochenberg is now a music teacher, but was once a celebrated concert pianist. Other choir members have performed professionally in punk, blues and soul bands, choral music and pantomime (oh yes they have!).

The whole show is strung together seamlessly by resident compereTerry Keogh – one of the town’s most well known characters.
