Sam Claflin starred alongside Chris Hemsworth in Snow White And The Huntsman
Sam Claflin, who plays Prince William in Snow White And The Huntsman, has revealed he looked less than regal when he fell off a horse.
The British actor was filming a scene with Australian co-star Chris Hemsworth (as the titular Huntsman) when he took a tumble.
"Me and Chris had a scene where we had to charge into the castle courtyard - I was in top-to-toe armour, while Chris was in his sexy James Dean leathers," he said.
"We were asked to dismount our horses at speed, so after one rehearsal, we were charging and charging. I don't think about slowing the horse down and in one fell swoop, my foot got caught in the stirrup and my face hit the floor," he recalled.
Sam continued: "The worst part about it is not that I fell face-first on the floor or fell on my a***, it's the fact that when I turn around, Chris does it so glamorously, Hollywood-like and looking like a star, while I'm rolling around on the floor like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle because I couldn't get up with my armour.
"Rupert Sanders, the director, said, 'Carry on, just keep going' and Chris had to lift me up because I couldn't get up with my thick armour. That battered my ego."
The 25-year-old, who is engaged to actress Laura Haddock, admitted the shoot took its toll on him.
"I'm not a natural horse rider. It took me a while to get the hang of it, a bit like golf. Every day, I would go home, feeling very bruised and battered," he said.
