A COTSWOLD trio have launched a new venture to bring a fresh social experience to the area.

Diamond 'n' Pearls (DnP) is an events and promotions company based in Love Lane, Cirencester.

Richard Mead, Keith Williams and Dennis Dosoo, the company's three directors all from Cirencester, want to bring talented vocalists, musicians, top bands and DJs to lavish events at various locations around the country.

They are currently putting together a proposal to create a family-friendly music festival in the Cotswolds in the near future.

People will be able to put on their dancing shoes and experience a fresh night out at their first event being held at the newly-refurbished Corn Hall in the Market Place.

ALIVE will be held on Saturday, August 29 and the line-up includes a six-piece band called BlueCollarFunk, DJs such as Big Business XL, DJ Curly, DJ Evil Zed and performances from top solo artist Incisive.

Mr Dosoo said: "Our aim is to do one event after the other, taking talented musicians all over the country to promote them as well as bringing people a whole new social experience."

DnP events has joined forces with Cirencester action man, Ollie Wakefield, to support his coastline trek in February 2010.

He will be attempting to walk the entire coastline of Great Britain in nine months, covering in the region of 6,824 miles.

During the trek, DnP will be organising four charity events for the Alzheimers Society and Well Child.
