SAVILLS in Cheltenham has kicked off its ‘10 in Ten’ campaign – an anniversary celebration marked by a series of fundraising events.

In recognition of ten years in business in the town, the Cheltenham team, along with colleagues from neighbouring offices, has pledged to raise £10,000 for The Gloucestershire Community Foundation (GCF) (gloucestershirecf.org.uk/), through ten fundraising challenges.

The first two events kicked off this week.

The swimming team (Bridget Vick, Chloe Kirkpatrick, Christian Swaab and Christopher Poole) started their mission to swim 10 miles in 10 days - the equivalent of 32 lengths of the 50 metre pool at Sandford Parks Lido every day.

Meanwhile four male members of staff (Chris Jarrett, Matt Tucker, Simon Foster and Seb Hipwood) braved the hands of local beautician Keely Rider of Body Matters Beauty Therapy to have their legs waxed with an audience of colleagues in the office.

Douglas Mackellar, Director and Head of Savills Cheltenham office comments, “Our chosen charity is the Gloucestershire Community Foundation and we are aiming to raise as much as possible as part of our ten year celebrations to support them.

“Our team in the office and colleagues from across the region have really entered into the spirit of things and everyone is taking part in the fundraising challenges.

“We have been delighted with the response and support we have received from family, friends and local businesses and we look forward to our next challenges – a sleep out and 10 hour cycling relay!”

The total currently stands at just over £1,000.
