Knight Frank Cirencester office raises over £1,000 for childrens charity, Rainbow Trust.

THE annual Berkhamsted Sprint Triathlon was held this year on April 23, set in the stunning Chiltern Hills.

Having never competed in any such challenge Hollie Byrne (Regional Farms Team) and Jessica Robins (Valuations) who both sit in the Cirencester office took it upon themselves to take part in order to raise money for charity.

The sprint triathlon involved a 400 metre swim followed by a 12 mile cycle ride around the hilly Chiltern Valleys with a five mile off road run to finish.

All of the training paid off as they both successfully crossed the finish line in, almost, respectable times.

Knight Frank sponsored the event from their local office in Berkhamsted, they enjoyed a sunny day with many Knight Frank participants raising money for one of their chosen charities for 2017 – The Rainbow Trust.

The Rainbow Trust is a very special charity supporting families who have a child aged 0-18 years with a life threatening or terminal illness and need bespoke support.

With over 2,200 families supported via 9 teams strategically located around the country this support helps many families in need.

Today there are an estimated 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a life limiting or life threatening condition who may require palliative care (University of Leeds, 2011).

Many of these children and their families are able to cope or are not in a ‘crisis situation’.

However, thousands of families have to face the very real possibility that their child may die and struggle to cope on a day to day basis.

So far the total raised has reached £1,397.50 (including gift aid) with more coming in each day.
