Specialist retirement developers to breathe new life into former hospital

PERRY Bishop and Chambers’ Land and Development Department are delighted to announce the completion of the sale of the former Moreton-in-Marsh Hospital site to specialist retirement developers Blue Cedar Homes.

Perry Bishop’s dedicated Land and Development team was very pleased to be instructed by NHS Property Services to advise them upon the property and to offer it for sale on their behalf. The town now benefits from a brand new state of the art hospital – North Cotswold Hospital. Following an extensive marketing campaign, more than a dozen offers were received for the site and, following further negotiations, terms were agreed with Blue Cedar Retirement Homes.

Land and New Homes director Peter Chambers said: comments “It was very pleasing to receive these instructions in competition with National Agents and to have successfully completed the sale with the assistance of the professional team at NHS Property Services to Blue Cedar. The process has been quite protracted and has certainly required considerable perseverance and patience by all concerned.”

Perry Bishop & Chambers are one of very few locally based agents with a specialist department offering a comprehensive service to landowners for building plots, development sites and buildings for conversion. They are also able to offer a pre-planning appraisal service and guidance through the planning process in conjunction with professional planning consultants and architects.

“The New Year has proved to be a very busy time for the department and we have already been instructed to offer plots, sites and buildings on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council, Home Farm Trust, the URC South West and Punch Taverns, as well as various private individuals and Trusts,” continues said Peter.

“During the course of February we shall be taking offers for development properties at Painswick, Cheltenham, Tetbury and Cirencester and we can report considerable interest in them all.”

We offer a free appraisal and valuation service and anyone owning land that has planning consent or that may be suitable for future development is invited to contact Peter Chambers or Hilary Menendez on 01285 646770 or email us at landandnewhomes@perrybishop.co.uk
