Free 'Antiques Roadshow' style Valuations Days with Dreweatts
“VERY little in life is free” says BBC’s ‘Bargain Hunt’ expert Richard Madley, “it even cost me 50p to put air in my tyres this morning! So when a team of auction specialists come to your area to give you the benefit of their expertise without charge or obligation – it’s too good an opportunity to pass up.”
Modelled on the perennial favourite ‘Antiques Roadshow’ – Dreweatts hold such events throughout the region every week. Owners of jewellery, silver, paintings, porcelain, clocks and works of art are invited to come along and meet one of their three experts who will provide up-to-date auction values – as well as advising on the best time and place to sell.
“We never know what we are going to see” says Tessa Parry – jewellery specialist, who recently discovered a stunning antique diamond pendant in Marlborough. “It’s like Christmas morning – every time someone unwraps their boxes.”
The recent focus on ivory products has encouraged a lot of owners of card cases, fans, boxes, figures and netsuke to sell. “If you’re thinking of selling - don’t hesitate“ is the word of advice given by BBC’s ‘Antiques Roadshow’ expert and Dreweatts Works of Art specialist Cristian Beadman.
To meet the Dreweatts team, come along to one of our forthcoming Valuation Days:
Thursday, February 23 (10am – 2pm): Lords of the Manor Hotel, Upper Slaughter, Glos GL54 2JD
Tuesday, February 28 (10am – 2pm): Marlborough Golf Club, The Common, Marlborough WN8 1DU
And remember it’s free!
