AMATEUR film-makers with a passion for where they live have been given an extra two weeks to create a short video showing the best of their hometown and potentially win a £1,000 top prize.

National estate agents Leaders is currently running its Love living in competition and, due to popular demand, is extending its deadline for videos to Monday, October 3.

Allison Thompson, managing director at Leaders, says: “We have received some fantastic entries so far showing the best of lots of different cities, towns, villages across the UK, but there are many more locations we would love people to share with us as part of Love living in.

“Due to the high level of interest we have seen in the closing weeks of the competition we have extended the deadline by two weeks so there is still time to get your video to us.”

The winner of the competition will receive a £1,000 top prize in addition to a further £1,000 for a charity or community group of their choice.

There will also be prizes of £500 plus £500 for a charity or community group for the winners of the people’s choice, which is decided by social media shares, and best film by a young person categories.

Allison explains: “All videos must be no longer than three minutes so it only takes a few minutes and the use of a smartphone or tablet to capture footage of the things you love most about your hometown.

“There is still time to secure our fabulous prize and entering Love living in could not be easier.”

All videos must now be received by Monday, October 3 and the three prize winners will be notified by Monday, October 17.
