LOCAL agents Perry Bishop and Chambers reported increased property sales for September and look forward to even better days ahead.

Managing Director Phillip Bishop commented, ‘With results from our five branch network we are able to offer a genuine results based assessment of the market in our area, and I am pleased to report that the market is following its usual autumn pattern. The first two weeks of September heralded an increase in the numbers of new applicants coming to the market- in turn this resulted in increased viewing numbers and finally into higher numbers of sales. In total the number of sales was 20 per cent up on last year.’

Phillip continued ‘After the May election the feel good factor continues in the market, mortgage rates remain at very low levels- the number of first time buyers hit pre-recession highs and mortgage lending is at its highest since the crash.

‘On a global level the reducing growth in Chinese GDP seems to indicate that interest levels will continue at their present levels for some time yet and the USA market is also showing strong growth in sales.

‘Within the area covered by our five offices we normally sell more houses in October and November together than at any other time of year and we fully expect this to be repeated in 2015.

‘Having said all that we are continually seeking ways to improve our service to vendors and buyers to ensure that our client’s receive the best price for their property in a timescale to suit them. Increasing numbers of clients are taking up our service to provide home staged photography of their home, with voiced over property videos, comprehensive floorplans and viewings accompanied by experienced sales staff. All this coupled with a dedicated client manager, a real person in a real office, ensures that our clients move with as little stress as possible.’
