PERRY Bishop and Chambers beat stiff competition to be crowned Professional Services Provider of the Year at Cirencester Business Awards.

MORE than 200 people from businesses across Cirencester thronged to the fifth Cirencester Business Awards, held on the evening of May 15 at the beautifully refurbished Corn Hall on Market Place.

Ten of Perry Bishop’s Cirencester team, sporting their best frocks and suits, joined their peers for the fifth annual business awards organised by Cirencester Chamber of Commerce.

After a nervous wait, the winners and runners up in each of the 12 award categories were announced. In the Professional Services category, the judges were looking for examples of imaginative and innovative ways in which businesses have enhanced their offer to their clients.

Anthony Flynn, President of Cirencester Chamber of Commerce and host for the evening, said that this was a highly competitive category and hence there were two runners up, rather than the usual one.

There was a sharp intake of breath on Perry Bishop’s table after the names of the runner-ups were announced – a leading firm of solicitors and another estate agents – followed by a huge celebratory cheer when Flynn announced Perry Bishop and Chambers as the winners.

The strength of the company’s testimonials was cited as one of the deciding factors. Managing Director, Phillip Bishop, joined members of his team on stage to collect the award.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have won this accolade!,” said Bishop.

“It’s the result of all the hard work put in by every member of our team. 2014 was our most successful trading year to date, a result of exemplary client service and new and improved ways of helping our clients enjoy the best possible estate agency experience. This award is the icing on the cake”
