CUSTOMERS looking to buy a T-shirt can now use the latest 3D technology, worth £75,000, to design their perfect garment thanks to an online company in Fairford.
TShirtStudio.com has been working on their new 3D technology for some time and finally, the wait is over as their programme is now ready to be used. Customers can now preview lifelike images of clothes and gifts so they know exactly what will arrive in the post.
"We’re delighted with this major breakthrough in technology," said director Howard West. "It gives the customer an accurate view of how their print looks on the product. The feedback has been great."
The firm has spent around £75,000 developing the system, which took them two and a half years to complete.
Staff hired in 3D experts so the process could be finished in time. The company’s next aim is to transfer this technology to video as staff hope moving pictures would enhance the customer experience.
Howard West and Dave Liddle founded TShirt Studio in 2002 and quickly expanded from factory premises in Faringdon to a new and bigger unit in Fairford. They launched an embroidery service in 2006 which is proving popular for sports and work wear.
