A FAIRFORD school whipped up a creative way of encouraging more students to get involved in business, by organising a logo-themed bake-off.
Farmor's School's business department invited all students and teachers to get involved in the competition, where participants had to make a cake with a business logo theme.
A total of 12 entries were received, depicting logos such as WWF, Mercedes Benz, and Kelloggs, and students and staff were asked to vote for their favourite.
In the end it was Year 7 student Lucy Ackland who stole the crown with her Olympic ring cake.
Business teacher Karen Brathwaite said this is the second time the school has hosted the Business Logo Bake Off.
"We don't teach business until Year 10 so the bake-off is to encourage business in the whole school," said Karen. "It also tied in with open evening for students who want to come to Farmor's so it was quite fun for Year 5's and 6's to see the cakes. It introduces business to them in a fun way."
