Cirencester Chamber of Commerce has launched the 2013 Cirencester Business Awards. Previous winners, judges and sponsors were on hand to lend their support to this prestigious annual event.

THE Cirencester Business Awards are now open for entries. With nine award categories, including Team of the Year and Business of the Year, this is the chance for businesses in the Cirencester area to showcase their talents to a wider audience.

And there are several special awards, including the Wilts and Glos Standard Customer Service Award, which will be voted for by our readers.

Businesses have until Thursday, March 28 to get their entries to the Cirencester Chamber of Commerce for judging. Finalists will attend an awards ceremony and dinner at the Royal Agricultural College on Friday, May 17.

Now in its third year, the Cirencester Chamber of Commerce awards have gone from strength to strength.

Previous award winners, like the 2012 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Cameron Morgan, have testified to the power of the awards to transform business.

Web designer Cameron told this paper after his win: "I have had so many offers of work because of it and have even had to turn work down."

Now it is your chance to show the wider public and the business community that your business is a worthy award recipient.

Jonathan Davies, Cirencester Chamber of Commerce President said: "It was great to see so many businesses at the launch and I really hope that as many businesses as possible will enter this year to make the third annual business awards the biggest and best yet."

WILTS AND GLOS CUSTOMER SERVICE AWARD

FOR the third year running, the Wilts and Glos Standard is sponsoring the Customer Service Award.

This award rewards a business for its customer-driven approach and is highly coveted by businesses in town because it is voted for by you, the public.

Winners from previous years, French bistro Le Beaujolais and Sugar Box, both understood that good customer service leads to loyalty, which in today's harsh economic climate is vital to survive.

We are searching for a business that goes the extra mile to make a customer feel welcome.

This is your chance as a customer and consumer to reward a business that never lets your down. It could be an entire business or an individual within a business that gets your vote.

The Customer Service award is an accolade that truly marks a business out as doing something right.

Simply fill out the coupon in this week's paper and return your nomination to Wilts and Glos Standard, 74 Dyer Street, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, GL7 2PW marking the envelope Customer Service Award.

The business with the most number of votes will be chosen to receive the Customer Service Award.
