WOULD it be a cliché to say ‘I had the time of my life’ when I went to see Dirty Dancing the musical? Well I did and so did the rest of the audience, who could hardly stop whooping, cheering and whistling. Tackling such an iconic film is a tough task. There can’t have been a single person in the place that hadn’t seen the classic movie at least once if not 10 (50?) times over, and they expected all their favourite moments to be played out in live theatre glory.

LOCAL photographer Mark Fairhurst’s first exhibition, ‘Deception’, will be held at the Corinium museum, Cirencester, from September 10 to October 1.
