Children have excellent time at egg hunt

YOUNGSTERS stepped back in time for an egg-cellent adventure at Lodge Park near Northleach at the weekend.

The National Trust park played host to the Living History Group - an affiliation of the Sealed Knot, the famous 17th century re-enactment group.

More than 1,000 visitors followed the egg trail through the beautiful grounds on the outskirts of Eastington on Saturday and Sunday.

Sharon Zyta, visitor services manager, said: "There were members of the Sealed Knot doing a re-enactment of social history and we had herbalists, merchants and poachers with separate stalls.

"The children had to go and talk to these people to follow the Easter trail, and everybody seemed to enjoy it so much.

"They were all very enthusiastic, but the adults enjoyed it just as much because it was all historically accurate."
