We are delighted in this sixth issue of Cotswold Essence to introduce a new young local star, Francesca Van Oss who, after winning our competition to find the Face of Essence in December last year, took to her new role of cover girl like a duck to water. She behaved totally naturally and professionally during the photo shoot with New Visage agency boss Simon Bradford and he had dozens of pictures of her to choose from for the cover of this issue.
I hope you will agree that Francesca looks gorgeous. Congratulations to her and to the other finalists who made it such a strong and exciting competition. I would like to thank New Visage, Le Spa and House of Frazer Rackham's store for their sponsorship of the competition.
There is Leo Aylen, whose international acclaim as a performance poet and nomination for a BAFTA script-writing award are just two of the many achievements in the whole catalogue that goes to make up this extraordinary life.
I hope you will enjoy reading about these Cotswold folk as well as the host of features, reviews and articles of Cotswold interest that pack the pages of this issue.
