Ciren riders excel at Spanish equine school

CIRENCESTER-based international dressage rider Pammy Hutton, along with her team from The Talland School of Equitation, has returned from the dressage sunshine tour in Spain with excellent results.

Pammy's son, Charlie, who only recently left school to concentrate on his dressage career, came home with 15 placings.

Riding his mother's Abira and Astrid Hargreaves' BB Dreisburg, Charlie finished in the top five junior riders.

Talland student, Laura Ferrier, rode Jo Barry's Demanio in her first international competition abroad.

Pammy rode Stephen Day's Amanti to seventh place in the final grand prix freestyle.

It was the pair's first competition at this level for two and a half years. "Amanti's given me the best ride ever," said Pammy.

"It's wonderful to be back competing him and to have fought through to reach this final".
