JOHN Hammond has become known as one of Britain's leading landscape painters working in the medium of acrylics.

Travelling at home and abroad, he continues to explore new and established themes with equal enthusiasm, always seeking to convey the particular qualities of light and atmosphere he encounters.

The paintings which result are both emotionally evocative and visually exciting. An Italian Journey - Un Viaggio Italiano - is a collection of over 40 paintings in acrylic by John Hammond depicting the diverse beauties of the Italian landscape and the rich atmosphere of her towns and cities.

The exhibition runs until April 22 at the John Noott Galleries, Dickens House, 20 High Street, Broadway, Worcestershire.
