Comic Stephanie to star at Everyman

SET in Bath during the course of one day in 1775, The Rivals, is a delightful period romp which introduces Mrs Malaprop, one of the funniest misusers of words in the British theatre, the inspiration for the word 'malapropism' and a truly great comic creation.

Playing the exuberant Mrs Malaprop will be Stephanie Cole, one of Britain's favourite actresses.

Sir Anthony is played by Edward Hardwicke who for many years was well known for playing Dr Watson in Sherlock Holmes alongside Jeremy Brett. Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, until Saturday, March 4.
