Top food writer at Calcot Manor

AWARD-winning food writer, Matthew Fort will be the next guest speaker in the 'Meet-the-Author' series when he comes to Calcot Manor, near Tetbury, to talk about his book, 'Eating Up Italy', on Monday, February 20.

In keeping with the book's theme, the hotel will feature an Italian-inspired lunch menu as Matthew Fort talks about his passion for the country and how he has traced Italy's rich history through its food culture.

'Eating Up Italy', published in paperback in June 2005, relates his epic scooter journey from Melito di Porto Salvo, the southernmost town and up to Turin in the north, exploring along the way the gastronomy and culinary culture of a country where regional differences are vibrantly alive.
