CIRENCESTER Swimming Club competed in the Cotswold League Round Two.
In a close, competitive gala between well-matched teams, Cirencester's swimmers performed well, particularly the younger ones.
The relay teams were again Cirencester's strength.
The first two wins came in the 11/U medley relays, the girls - Allie Dye, Zoe Frazer, Sophie Brown and Charlotte Blampied - and the boys - Adam Underwood, Oliver Lockey, Daniel Gregory and Tom Howitt - swimming this season's best times.
The boys also won the freestyle relay.
Underwood and Brown swam excellently to win the 11/U 25m butterfly and 25m backstroke respectively.
The 13/U boys' relay team of James Tan, Jake Hopegood, Matt Reynolds and Liam Frazer won the medley relay.
The 15/U boys relay squad of Dan Beebee, Karl Collett, Jonathan Sleight, Peter Brennen and Harry Bayliss won their medley and freestyle relays convincingly.
Second places went to Howitt in the 11/U free and back, Sleight in the 15/U back, Vicki Herrington in the open back and fly, Reynolds in the 13/U fly, Peter Brennen in the 15/U breast, Zoe Frazer in the 11/U fly, Hannah Brill in the 13/U free, Laura Brown in the open free, Gregory in the 11/U breast and Hopegood in the 13/U back.
Relay seconds went to the men's open medley team of Matthew Young, Collett, Beebee and Piers Powis, the boys' 13/U freestyle team of James Collingwood, Hopegood, Reynolds and Liam Frazer, the girls' 11/U freestyle team of Blampied, Zoe Frazer, Dye and Sophie Brown and the girls' 15/U freestyle team of Venetia Trotter, Frances Brill, Hannah Brill and Jenny Webster.
Cirencester finished third, missing second by four points. The third round will be at Lydney on Saturday, February 11.
